I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Xanadu hotel! The tranquility of the area was truly remarkable, creating a peaceful ambiance that allowed me to relax and unwind. The comfort of the bed was undoubtedly five-star quality, ensuring a restful night's sleep. What truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by Santos. His helpfulness and kindness made my experience truly memorable. I can't wait to return to Xanadu for another delightful stay!
Bedrooms were quiet, comfortable, well-equipped and luminous, but the best asset of the hotel may be its employees. Erica, Chris and Camilla were very helpful, professionnal and even compassionnate, given the fact that we experienced some mishap during our stay. We could not have been in better hands.
The hotel is so different from most of the hotels. The decor and the atmosphere is so unique. The bed is so comfortable. Santos from reception has dealt with me in a professional way. Could not fault the customer service. Close to Ealing and most shops and amenities. Did not eat there but hopefully next time, I will book it again and will try the restaurant. If you are after a restful and relaxed night sleep, Xanadu is the answer.
I was visiting Ealing to stay with one of my sisters in law, who unexpectedly came down with covid. My sister booked me at this hotel with doubts, as it wasn’t part of a chain or known to her. However, I was in for a very pleasant surprise!
Dates stayed were 27th and 28th September 2023. I stayed with my 9 year old son. The room booked was a suite. It was incredibly large and extremely comfortable. The front desk staff was very welcoming and kind during check in. They made the whole process easy and sent someone up with our bags on a trolley. The lobby itself was comfy and they had a seating area, and a large restaurant to the right.
The elevators were clean and nice. One was a glass one that looked out onto the wrong road. The door opened into a large living room space with a huge couch and some comfy chairs, a low lying coffee table, and large bookshelves with a large television. There was also a desk and then a good sized mini fridge, a kettle, a nespresso machine, and cups, glasses, saucers, and some cutlery. There were also teabags and coffee pods. There were 2 complimentary bottles of still water also.
The bedroom had a large king sized bed and the cupboard had a hairdryer, iron + stand, and a safe. The bathroom was small but everything was clean and in place. Ample towels and small toiletries were in the bathroom. There was an additional television in the bedroom.
Hotel Xanadu is more than we anticipated, and a good bang for your Pound. Our room was comfortable and situated on floor five where we could see for miles. That room is well appointed and fresh, not even close to the quarters we occupied at Hardman House in Carson City (see my review). Although the quietness of this travel abode is a plus we struggled with the atmosphere control. The thermostat was difficult to master, but the bed’s comforter eliminated the need for temperature manipulation. Xanadu’s proximity to the Elizabeth Line enhances its site. The station is less than a thousand feet away. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet, but after a visual scan of the fare we opted to not spend the Pounds Sterling. A taxi summoning assist from the hotel gatekeeper resulted in a non-English speaking racecar driver appearing on-scene 30 minutes later in what appeared to be his family SUV. Several collisions were closely avoided by instant lane changes that rattled my brain as we sped our way to LHR. I recommend you engage a licensed taxi on your own.
avoid this place! they don´t care about their customers...
At reception/checkin we were greeted by someone for whom we seemed a distraction from whatever else she was doing. No friendliness, no smiles, no interest in her guests...
We got a room and upon (trying) entering the room the key didn´t work. So back to the reception and the recepetionist had to come up with some sort of charger to get us in the room. She mentioned to her colleague that it was room 209 again and that it was the same issue they had before. So the problem was known!!! just never solved. When the lock was charged and we were let into the room I asked if this was now solved and OK for the rest of our stay and - in a way as if this was a retarded question - was told 'off course!'. Needless to say this whole saga repeated 4 times during our stay and 'off course' the issue was never solved, but who cares... What makes this story even ore interesting is that our key card was printed with room 201 which was probably the orginal room and it had been replaced with a handwritten room 209 so I am quite convinced that the people that stayed in 201 had already complained about this and we had been switched with them. We were knowingly given a faulty room.
Absolute life saver! Great service and very welcoming and hospitable. It was really late that I arrived and Mr Williams was so accommodating and understanding! Defo would visit again just because of the service he’s provided
Reception politeness
My room was occupied by other resting on a bed guests when I opened the door with my keys at midnight. So I got new keys for room and that was a room for …
